Sea Wolf

Sea Wolf is the side band for Alex Church of the now famous band Irving. For those of you not in the know, Irving is a rare band that shares writing duties amongst all of the members equally, and with it front man duties as well. Each one has their own voice and style and each one has their own tracks. Alex Church plays bass for this band, but now he is stepping out on his own with Sea Wolf.

I guess im floating did a spot on him long ago before we were even aware he existed outside of Irving. Heading back there for this post, I confirmed my suspicions that long time Modest Mouse and Shins Producer Phil Ek was involved. That explains the great sound and body that both songs i have heard posses. He sounds almost like the best cross of Bright Eyes and Modest Mouse possible, and I can not get enough of it. To make him even more appealing, he is going on tour with The Silver Sun Pickups and is apparently good friends with them...how the hell can you not love this guy?

"I think about you
maybe more then i should
but the smoke is getting old
the drugs im taking arnt so good
so will you talk to me
even though you have had a late night
because i need a little help
baybe tell me ill be alright
'cuz everything around me has changed
but the garden you have planted remains"
